Many users have fixed this error with the following methods. 

1.  Restart the Router

Going with the easy fixes first has always proved to be helpful. And, also all the errors that the users come across are temporary. So, at first, go with the restarting option, and you can easily deal with it yourself. 

You just have to press the Power button and unplug the power cord connected to your router. Wait for at least 30 seconds, and plug in the cord again. Now, turn on the router, connect the device and see if the error is still displaying or not. You can also reboot the device before connecting with the router so that no disturbance can affect the connection. 

2. Use Troubleshoot to Fix the Error

If you have a Windows computer, then you can simply use the Troubleshoot option to fix the error. At first, you have to go to the Update and Security option. And, you will find the Troubleshoot option. Now, open the option and select it to run this tool for the errors. It will then scan the system to search for existing errors. 

In a short period, the Troubleshoot option will be able to search all the network issues. And, even it will process automatically to fix the error. The other instructions will appear on your screen, follow them accordingly. This option will even fix the Xiaomi router DHCP error if the main cause is your computer. But, if the problem is due to the router, then it might not be able to fix the error. 

3. Minimize the Distance of the Device and the Router

As you are using a wireless connection to access the browser with your router you might have faced this error due to the ranging problem. You must keep the connected device within a particular range. Or else, you might face certain issues while connecting to the internet. 

Thus, the distance can lead to the Xiaomi router DHCP error. Simply place the device near the router. You can also connect it with cables if it is causing a lot of trouble. The cables will strengthen the connection, and the internet will work smoothly.

4. Restart the DHCP Service

It might be possible that the DHCP service has something to do with the Xiaomi router DHCP error. If you are a Windows user, you can enable and disable the DHCP service from Service settings. 

To fix the given error, you can restart the DHCP server. Many users have solved the error with the help of this solution. At first, you have to go to the Service Section on your computer and then go to the DHCP service option. Make sure that it is enabled, and then disable it. Now, wait for a few seconds to start it again. After that check, if the error has been fixed or not. 

4. Configure the DNS settings of the Router

The error Xiaomi router DHCP might also indicate that there is something wrong with DNS settings. You have to approach the router and check the DNS settings in such a situation. You can perform this step without the help of an internet connection. It would be best if you use a cable connection. Go to the router’s interface, followed by the DHCP section and DNS settings. With the help of primary and secondary DNS, log out from there. After completing the process, see if the error has been fixed or not.
