Best Antivirus Software 2022: Windows, Mac, iOS & Android

Have you ever browsed the pirate bay and found out many malware threats have infected your device?

Well, it’s possible.

At least, it has happened to me.

But, I could not stop browsing The Pirate Bay because it has the best and biggest collection of movies and games from all genres possible.

It was at that moment that I thought of installing antivirus software and God Forbid; since then, I have not faced the problem of viruses and malware infecting my PC.

So, here’s a list of the best antivirus software of 2022.

But, before that, let’s find out:

What Is An Antivirus Software?

It is a piece of software designed to detect viruses, scan them in your system, and eliminate them from your device to keep it safe and protected from external breaches.

Once you install it, the software will run automatically in the background. It means that whenever you are entering an unsafe site or downloading an unsafe file, the software will scan it and warn you

Thus, you can make an informed decision of whether to download the file or not after knowing its risks.

Best Antivirus Software Of 2022

Some of the best antivirus software of 2022 are compiled in this list. They will suit any operating system from iOS to Android, MAC to Windows, etc.

1: McAfee

McAfee outperformed both built-in browser safeguards like Chrome and Firefox and web protection from most competitor antiviruses in identifying the vast majority of hazardous sites.

McAfee’s Wi-Fi safeguards are also among my favorites.

This gives you complete control over your online security and allows you to keep off intruders by providing an easy-to-read map of all devices on your home Wi-Fi network.

McAfee’s parental controls are also among the finest on the market since they include sophisticated location tracking, which allows you to follow your child’s smartphone and ban unsuitable apps.

2: Norton 360

It’s a well-built, and well-maintained antivirus software that assures all data is kept safe, confidential, and protected — and it works across all operating systems.

Norton’s antivirus software has a unique scanning engine that employs machine learning to scan, detect, and remove malware, even the newest and most complex threats.

During all of my independent testing, it received a 100% protection rating.

One of my favorite features of Norton 360 is that it’s both simple to use and still has a lot of complicated settings for those who want to tailor their security defenses.

3: TotalAV

TotalAV includes a powerful antivirus scanner as well as a few useful extras, all housed in a highly user-friendly interface.

TotalAV’s antivirus scanner is quick, dependable, and boasts near-perfect malware detection rates.

Only a number of challenging files were missed by the scanner, which captured 99% of all of my test threats, from viruses and trojans to ransomware.

Most of TotalAV’s features are excellent, except for the password manager, which I believe could be much better.

4: Bitdefender

Bitdefender’s antivirus engine is among the most powerful on the market, combining a large malware database with machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Thus, it can identify and guard against malware more successfully than any other competition.

Bitdefender discovered and eradicated every single harmful threat from my machine throughout my testing.

Because Bitdefender’s engine is cloud-based, all malware scans are performed on Bitdefender’s cloud server, which resolves the pressure off your device.

5: Kaspersky

Kaspersky has some excellent new functions and features to its well-known antivirus protection suite.

Kaspersky’s antivirus engine routinely produces some of the finest results in the market against all sorts of malware.

I appreciate Kaspersky’s Safe Money function, which detects when you’re going to make an online payment and offers to open a secure browser window that’s malware resistant.

This window also loads faster and allows you to utilize a virtual keyboard while making online payments.

6: Intego

Intego’s antivirus engine scans, taking less than two hours to scan over 800,000 files.

Following scans take only a few minutes, thanks to Intego’s file caching technique, which ignores files that have already been scanned.

Intego offers a lot of unique features, and one of my favorites is the ability to connect an external drive or an iOS device to your Mac and conduct an antivirus check using Intego’s virus scanner.

Since Intego has a few package options to choose from, you can select any one package that suits your budget and put it to use. But, unfortunately, it does not offer protection for mobile devices.

Conclusion

We have enlisted the best antivirus software tools on this list comparable to any operating system.

However, if you use this software, you can have the upper hand in protecting your device against external threats.

So, use them wisely, and practice safe browsing.
