For iPhone/iPad Users:

  • Go to the Settings menu of the iPhone.

  • Now you have to find the “Locate Four Virus” application, then tap on it.
  • Next, tap on the Uninstall option to completely, erase the application from your phone.

However, if you see the uninstall button is not available or the color of the button is greyed then this process is not going to work. Therefore you have to skip to the next methods to solve the issue.

Method 2: Manage the App Permission on the Android Device

This is a pro tip for the Android users, as with this you disable the “Locate Four Virus” from your android device. 

  • Open the Settings menu of the phone.
  • From there you have to go to the More options, then open the Security section.
  • Locate the Device Administrators options on the menu.
  • Now you have to check if in the list only the trusted application from the Android Device Manager or the Google Play Service has the right and the proper permissions. If not then alter the changes.
  • Now again go back to the Security section and then, you have to ensure that Unknown Sources is not enabled to access the administrator options.
  • Exit the Settings menu then open the browser of the phone and check if the issue is solved or not.

Method 3: Deleting the Viru from the Browser of the Phone

If the above said solutions do not solve the issue, then you can try to remove the virus from the browser of the phone. And to do so go through the instructions provided below.

For Android Users:

  • Before you implement this process, you have to find the exact browser that is causing the problem. For instance, if you are facing the problem with the Google chrome then check out the steps.
  • Open the Settings menu of the Phone.
  • Navigate to the Security & Privacy option, then go to the More option.
  • Now you have to ensure that the “Download apps from external sources” option are turned off. Also, make sure that the “Check apps from External sources” option are turned on, if not then toggle it On.
  • Then, open the Settings menu again then tap on the Apps section then tap on the All apps section.
  • Now navigate to the Google Chrome and tap on it.
  • Thereafter you have to tap on the Clear Cache button to clear all the cache as well as the history of the browser.
  • Now tap on the Force Stop button to stop running the application. Furthermore, open the browser and check if the issues persist or not.

For iPhone/iPad Users:

  • Open the Settings menu of the iPhone.
  • Now tap on the Safari browser, if the issue is with the Safari browser.
  • Then scroll down and locate the “Clear History ad Website data” option. And then tap on it.
  • Again go back to the Safari, then tap on the Advanced option.
  • From there you have to open the Website Data, now tap on the Remove All Website Data button, to ensure all the cache and the data of the browser are removed.
  • Restart the iOS device and check if the issue is still there or not.

Method 4: Using a Third-Party Application on Your Smartphone

Perhaps, if none of the above instructions solves the issue, then you can simply download a third-party application from the App Store. Once the app is installed you have to scan the device for any presence of any virus in the system. If the application is able to find any unknown file or Application in the system then you have to remove it from the system. 

Method 5: Reset the Phone to Factory Defaults

Unfortunately, if none of the above then all you have to reset the phone to the factory defaults. But before you implement this step you have to take a backup of the system. Resetting the phone will erase all the personal data as well as files from the phone. 

For Android Users:

  • Open the Settings menu of the phone.
  • Then scroll down and locate the Factory Defaults option.
  • Tap on it and the phone will ask for the password, provide the password to confirm the process.
  • Wait till the process is complete.

For iPhone/iPad Users:

  • Open the Settings menu of the iPhone.
  • Then scroll down and find the “Factory Defaults” option on the menu.
  • Tap on it and it will ask for the password, provide the password to confirm the process and thereby to continue.
  • Wait till the process is complete.
